Hi! I’m Marnie, and welcome to my blog!

By day, I’m a writer and researcher, but outside of work hours I love to putter in my garden, among the flowers, insects and other critters that share my yard with me in rural Minnesota.

I grew up learning about the principles of healthy, organic gardening and healthy eating, long before it was mainstream.

These days I’m fascinated with the promise of regenerative agriculture and what it could do for the climate, agriculture and our food system. 

But what really excites me is what we can do just in our own backyards to help pollinators, even help restore climate balance, just by using some of these practices in our own gardens by using native plants and regenerative practices. I’m just learning as I go along, but I love sharing what I learn, so why not come along with me? We can build our microprairies together!
